Many items are available on a monthly rental basis. Products and services include home accessibility, mobility equipment, respiratory services and equipment, nutritional supplies, and personal care items such as bath safety, garments and ostomy supplies.

Our service department includes factory trained installation staff and repair technicians with years of experience. We provide complete repair and maintenance of all equipment we rent.

Hammer's reimbursement department will help to simplify the insurance and payment process as we handle all necessary paperwork for you. We offer complimentary insurance filing including Medicare and Medicaid.

Hammer Medical Supply employs nurses, respiratory therapists and knowledgeable customer service staff to assist you with your health care needs.

Delivery is free within our geographical service area. Our professional delivery staff will deliver, set up your equipment, and provide customer instruction and training.

Although we do business as Hammer Medical Supply, our legal name is Hammer Incorporated. The business was incorporated in Iowa in 1960. The company started in 1872 under the name Hammer Drug.

Until 1997, Hammer Medical Supply and Hammer Pharmacy were divisions of Hammer Incorporated. At that time, Hammer Pharmacy was "spun off" into a separate "sister" corporation.
